Privacy policy

How Crane Crazy handles personal data: what stays on your device, what reaches us and what you can ask for.

Summary

  • Crane Crazy is a game by Fersan Interactive. In this version it works offline: it has no accounts, online play, rooms, text or voice chat, purchases, advertising, or analytics or advertising tools.
  • The game sends no personal data about you to us. What it keeps are your preferences, such as language, sound, graphics and accessibility, and they stay on your device.
  • The store or platform where you got the game handles your data under its own policy.
  • The Unity engine the game is made with may send Unity Technologies technical information about your device, under Unity’s own policy (see “The Unity engine”).
  • If you write to us, we use your email address and your message to reply and follow up.
  • Before the game gains any feature that handles personal data, such as accounts, online play, voice or purchases, we will publish a new version of this policy.
  • You can ask for access, correction, deletion and other measures at privacy@fersaninteractive.com.

Who we are

Crane Crazy is developed and published by Fersan Interactive, an independent game studio. The controller of the personal data described here, who decides how it is handled, is FERSAN INTERACTIVE LTDA, CNPJ (Brazilian company registration) 66.561.110/0001-30, registered at Rua M.M.D.C., 80, Sala 1210 A2, Butantã, São Paulo/SP, CEP 05510-021, Brazil.

The channel for any matter about personal data, including for Brazil’s data protection authority (ANPD, Agência Nacional de Proteção de Dados), is privacy@fersaninteractive.com. The company is a small-scale processing agent and, as ANPD Resolution 2/2022 allows, has not appointed a data protection officer; that channel receives communications from data subjects and the ANPD (art. 11(1)).

What this policy covers

This policy applies to the game Crane Crazy, in every version Fersan Interactive distributes, including demos and test versions, and to messages about the game sent to our email addresses.

It does not cover the website fersaninteractive.com, which has its own policy, or the stores and platforms where the game is distributed, which have theirs.

We follow Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law 13,709/2018), Brazil’s Internet Civil Framework (Marco Civil da Internet, Law 12,965/2014) and Brazil’s Digital Statute of Children and Adolescents (Law 15,211/2025). Because the game can be played from other countries, this policy also gives the information that the European Union and United Kingdom data protection rules (GDPR and UK GDPR) ask to be provided.

What the game does not do

  • It has no accounts, registration, login or online profiles.
  • It has no online play, rooms, invitations, friends lists, leaderboards, or text or voice chat.
  • It has no in-game purchases, paid currency, loot boxes or advertising.
  • It uses no analytics, advertising, attribution or crash-reporting tools from other companies, and no online services of Unity, the engine it is made with, beyond the technical information described in “The Unity engine”.
  • It does not access advertising identifiers, location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or files outside its own folder.
  • It does not sell, rent or trade personal data, build profiles or make automated decisions that affect you.

The Unity engine

The game is made with the Unity engine. With its current settings, the engine may send Unity Technologies, when the game starts, technical information about your device and system, such as its model, operating system and hardware characteristics; Unity’s systems also receive the IP address of the connection, as with any request over the internet. This information does not come to us. Unity Technologies handles it as an independent controller, for its own purposes, under its Game Player and App User Privacy Policy, which explains how it uses the information, where it transfers it and how to exercise your rights with Unity. If a future version of the game turns this off, this policy will say so.

Data kept on your device

The game keeps your preferences on your device, so they apply the next time you play:

  • language and accessibility options, such as reduced motion;
  • sound volumes;
  • video and graphics settings, such as resolution, frame rate and quality;
  • the last option chosen on the home screen;
  • a technical preference about the graphics interface used to start the game safely on your device.

To choose the starting language and tune the graphics, the game also reads the system language and the device’s graphics capabilities, without keeping or sending this information. The game’s engine may record a technical log on the device and, if the game crashes, a crash file; they are used for troubleshooting and are not sent.

This data stays on your device: the game does not send it, and we have no access to it. It is deleted when you uninstall the game or clear its data in your device settings. If automatic backup is turned on for your device, the system may include this data in your account’s backup, under the rules of the device maker or operating system.

Test versions may, when started with a specific validation option, record a technical performance report on the device: the device model, operating system, graphics card, battery level, frame-rate measurements and screenshots of the game. This report is not sent automatically; it reaches us only if a tester sends it, and we then handle it as described in “Messages you send us”.

The game’s store or platform

When you download, buy or update the game, the store or platform handles your data (such as your account, payment and download history) as an independent controller, under its own terms and policy. We do not receive your name, email address or payment details from the store.

Stores show us aggregated information or information that does not directly identify you, such as the number of downloads, countries, system and device versions and, where you allow it in your device or store settings, crash and performance reports. We use this information to fix problems and improve the game, on the basis of legitimate interest (LGPD, art. 7, IX). Ratings and reviews you post in a store are public under the store’s own rules, and we may reply to them there.

Messages you send us

For support with the game, write to support@fersaninteractive.com; for privacy and requests about personal data, to privacy@fersaninteractive.com. The studio’s other addresses are on the contact page.

When you write, we receive your email address, your name and signature if you include them, the content of the message, attachments such as screenshots or technical logs, and the email’s technical data, such as date and time. We use this data to:

  • read, answer and follow up on your matter, including investigating and fixing the problem you report, on the basis of legitimate interest (LGPD, art. 7, IX);
  • keep correspondence until the rights and obligations recorded in it are time-barred (Brazilian Civil Code, art. 1,194) and handle requests about personal data (LGPD, arts. 18 and 19), to comply with legal obligations (art. 7, II);
  • exercise or defend rights in judicial, administrative or arbitration proceedings, if needed (art. 7, VI).

For people in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the basis for these uses is legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR and UK GDPR): answering people who write to us, complying with the Brazilian law we are subject to and defending rights.

Send only what your matter needs. Never send passwords, payment details or identity documents, and avoid sensitive data, such as health information. If we receive something like that without asking, we reply without repeating that data and delete the message containing it as soon as the matter allows, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Our email runs on Google Workspace. Messages are read only by the people at the company responsible for each matter.

Who we share data with

The game shares no personal data with us or anyone else, apart from the technical information the Unity engine may send to Unity Technologies (see “The Unity engine”). Data from the messages you send us reaches only:

  • Google, which runs our email (Google Workspace) on our behalf and under our instructions, under its data protection terms (LGPD, art. 39), and is liable for damage if it breaches the law or those instructions (art. 42);
  • public authorities, when the law or a court order requires it;
  • lawyers and advisers, when needed to comply with legal obligations or exercise rights, under a duty of confidentiality;
  • whoever succeeds the company in a corporate reorganisation, such as a merger or acquisition, with the same safeguards as this policy.

We do not sell or rent personal data and do not share it for advertising.

International transfers

The messages you send us are stored and processed by Google in data centres in several countries, including the United States, for the period described in “How long we keep data”, solely so that we can receive, answer and keep the correspondence. The transfer follows the standard contractual clauses approved by the ANPD (ANPD Resolution 19/2024), included in Google’s data protection agreement; Google acts as our processor, follows our instructions and maintains the security measures described in “How we protect data”. You can ask for the full text of these clauses at privacy@fersaninteractive.com; we reply within 15 days. Your rights, including petitioning the ANPD, are under “Your rights”.

Destinations in the European Union and the European Economic Area are recognised as adequate by the ANPD (ANPD Resolution 32/2026). For people in the European Union, Brazil is recognised as adequate by the European Commission (Implementing Decision (EU) 2026/179).

The technical information the Unity engine may send goes directly to Unity Technologies, which describes its own international transfers in its policy.

How long we keep data

  • Data the game keeps on your device: until you delete it or uninstall the game; we have no copy of it.
  • Messages exchanged through our email addresses, including requests about personal data: 5 years after the last message received in each conversation, a period chosen on the basis of the most common limitation periods (Brazilian Consumer Protection Code, art. 27; Civil Code, art. 206). Conversations linked to contracts, disputes or legal obligations are labelled and kept for as long as the obligation or the applicable limitation period lasts (Civil Code, arts. 205 and 1,194). After that, messages are deleted automatically; complete removal from Google’s systems may take a few months.
  • Records of security incidents: for at least 5 years, as the ANPD requires (ANPD Resolution 15/2024).

When the period ends, the data is deleted or anonymised, unless the law allows or requires keeping it (LGPD, art. 16).

How we protect data

  • We collect the minimum: the game asks for no personal data and does not transmit what it keeps on your device.
  • Apart from the Unity engine itself (see “The Unity engine”), the game includes no code from other companies that collects data.
  • Our mailboxes are accessed only by people at the company, and Google Workspace protects messages with encryption in transit and at rest.

No system is invulnerable. If you find a vulnerability, write to security@fersaninteractive.com.

Security incidents

We record every security incident involving personal data. If an incident may cause you significant risk or harm, we will notify the ANPD and the people affected within the deadlines of the LGPD (art. 48) and ANPD Resolution 15/2024, explaining what happened, what data was affected, the risks, what we did and what you can do. If it is not possible to notify each person, we will publish the notice on our website for at least three months.

Your rights

Under the LGPD (arts. 18 and 20), you can ask, at any time and free of charge, for:

  • confirmation that we handle personal data about you;
  • access to that data;
  • correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data;
  • anonymisation, blocking or deletion of data that is unnecessary, excessive or handled in breach of the law;
  • portability of the data to another provider, under the ANPD’s regulations;
  • information about who we share your data with;
  • objection to processing that breaches the LGPD;
  • review of decisions made solely by automated processing (which we do not do).

Because we do not use consent as a legal basis, the rights tied to it (deletion of data handled with consent and withdrawal of consent) do not apply to the game; if this changes, this policy will say so.

The data the game keeps on your device is under your control: you can delete it at any time, as described in “Data kept on your device”. Because we have no copy of it, we cannot access, correct or delete it for you.

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can also ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and portability, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and complain to your country’s data protection authority.

How to exercise your rights

Write to privacy@fersaninteractive.com saying what you would like. To protect your data, we may ask for proportionate confirmation of your identity; replying from the same email address used in your messages is usually enough. If more is needed, we will say exactly what and why, and we will never ask for a copy of a document when partial information is enough. We will never ask for passwords.

  • Confirmation that we handle your data and access in a simplified format are sent immediately after we read the request.
  • A full statement, with the origin of the data, the criteria and the purpose of the processing, is sent within 15 days of the request (LGPD, art. 19).
  • The reply is sent by email or, if you prefer, in print.
  • If we cannot do what you ask, we will tell you why: for example, if we are not the ones handling that data or if the law requires us to keep it.

If you are not satisfied, you can petition Brazil’s data protection authority (gov.br/anpd) and consumer protection bodies, such as Procon. People in the European Union or the United Kingdom can also complain to their local data protection authority.

Children and teenagers

Crane Crazy can be played by people of many ages, including children and teenagers. The game does not ask anyone’s age and does not need to: it collects no personal data, has no advertising, purchases, loot boxes, chat or profiles, and does not let players communicate or meet online. This way it protects the best interests of children and teenagers (LGPD, art. 14; Law 15,211/2025) by design.

Before any online, voice or purchase feature reaches the game, we will adopt the protections the law requires for children and teenagers, such as more protective privacy settings by default and tools for parents and guardians to supervise, and publish a new version of this policy.

If a child or teenager writes to us, we will handle the message in their best interests, using only what is needed to reply, and may ask a parent or guardian to take part. If a parent or guardian finds that we have received a child’s data, they can write to privacy@fersaninteractive.com and we will delete it, except what the law requires us to keep (LGPD, art. 16).

Changes to this policy

Each version of this policy has a number and the date it takes effect, shown at the top of the page. When the policy changes, we will publish the new version here, with the next number and a summary of what changed at the top of the page. When a change widens how data is handled, for example with accounts, online play, voice or purchases, we will publish the new version before the change reaches the game. The history at the end of the page lists every version and the period each one was in force, and earlier versions remain available to read, unchanged.

This policy is informative: it describes how we handle data and does not depend on acceptance.

Language and contact

This policy exists in Portuguese and English, with the same content. If they differ, the Portuguese version prevails.
